FHE for Empty Nesters

Had a fun evening last Monday with two other couples,
an informal Family Home Evening pot luck and games.
So enjoyable to visit with friends we knew in New Harmony,
we were in a FHE group years ago, now we're together again.
(Above photo l-r dear friends Caryn and Mary, hubby in back.)

Haven't played games for years, dominos was a challenge
and some other new games for couples, but the best part
was eating, visiting and just being together as a "family."
We each have our own kids and grandkids who live far away.
(Below our menfolk l-r Allen, Steve and Wayne.)

  1. That was a fun night! I even enjoyed playing the games... and that is not something I normally enjoy doing all that much. I guess I was raised by one of those boring families that just never played games together. Well... we did play Charades and Gin (or Gin Rummy..something like that) The conversation was the BEST...and the food a really close second. Let's do it often, okay? If I promise to write a limerick about it?
