Thanksgiving CONTINUES

A QUIET day with just hubby and me and a turkey. Lots of work to put together the FEAST but we enjoyed it and are enjoying the leftovers. THANKFUL for blessings of health, home and family.

A day to celebrate the early pilgrims of America,
decorations in my friend Caryn's home

Digital thermometer will help us know when the turkey is done.
I used to stuff my turkey but now its faster with instant stuffing.

Busy day for the oven with turkey, rolls, yams-timing a challenge

Nowadays there's a box for everything-stuffing, gravy, rolls,  etc.
Did make homemade not instant mashed potatoes-yummy!

Hubby is so helpful with peeling and cleanup!
Yummy fruit salad with real whipped cream.

We slightly overcooked the turkey but it is still delicious.

This is leftovers the next day and they will continue on....

THANKSGIVING is coming....

Happy to see my son Dan and wife Tina who are on their way to Puerto Penasco in Mexico below Arizona to build houses as a service project for families in our church. Good to see two of my grandkids-Heather and James for a quick visit-they'll be back next weekend. They brought lots of family photos of their other kids and two great grandkids who I'm missing out seeing.

Shopping for FALL APPLES

Most of the summer fruit: peaches, plums, etc. are gone but it's time for FALL APPLES. Crisp and fresh direct from the farmers orchards. One of our favorite places to stop and buy fruit is in SANTAQUIN, UTAH at Rowley's Red Barn but luckily we have one of their stores close by in Washington.

Rowley's RED BARN in Southern Utah

Lots of fun penny candy that costs more now

Fried apple pies and fun aprons to wear in the kitchen

Cold area filled with lots of different kinds of apples, etc.

Homemade sauces, jams, pickles, etc and sour dough bread!

Want a healthy snack-popcorn, nuts, etc.

Different flavor suckers and fun puzzles

Something for everyone and it isn't crowded at all

Fall BOUTIQUE

Haven't had one of these Boutiques in several years because of fears of COVID. It was nice to see all the beautiful handicrafts and artisan works. I didn't buy anything because there is no place left in my house to decorate...REALLY!

Beautiful 60 degree autumn day...

Beautiful photographs of local scenery

Jeweled embellished t-shirts

Exotic metal pieces Native American motifs

A real variety of handicrafts-pottery, quilting, etc.

Something for everyone that wants decorating stuff

Stained glass pieces were fun.
