ANOTHER BIRTHDAY

It's the twins now 24, where did the years go. They were my first grandchildren and we were blessed with TWINS. Double the trouble and double the blessings for all of us. Especially their parents who were guided to them through ADOPTION then SEALING in the temple as a FOREVER FAMILY. Now Emilee is married and has a sweet little daughter and Heather has graduated from UVU with an associates degree and will be continuing to study early childhood education this fall. LOVE THEM BOTH.

SPRING CLEANING BUG?

Suddenly last Monday, I got the brilliant idea that it was TIME to move furniture and rearrange STUFF. Well in our SMALL retirement home that's not easy! Our furniture has pretty much stayed in the same place for the past 15 years. We do have two casitas for guests to use when family visits, but because of COVID and other issues-people are busy, our VISITORS have been few and far between. We do have inflated mattresses that could be used.

SO, I thought why not reclaim one of the casitas for a special ARCHERY OFFICE for hubby who is surrounded by all my stuff, while his stuff is in boxes in closets here and there. He was excited by the idea. STEP ONE was to make space and since our BUNKBEDS are rarely used maybe once a year for visiting company, that seemed like a good place to start. Not wanting the hassle of selling them, I listed them for FREE if someone was willing to pick them up. Sure enough a young couple locally nearby in Bloomington were the second callers and wanted them for their two boys. PERFECT!

It's amazing all the things my hubby is rediscovering hidden in boxes and closets in the guest casita now the archery casita where he will fix his arrows, bows and sort out all kinds of momentos from the past... discoveries to be shared SOON.

Happy MOTHER'S DAY to all!

I'm looking back through photos of Mother's Day PAST. Brings lots of memories. Am reaching the age when TRAVEL isn't interesting and staying home seems SAFER. Yep, that's OLD AGE creeping up-I turn 82 this year. DUP Dedication Collage

On Sat, April 30th we had a dedication of the 591st ISDUP Historical Monument marker, here in Sunriver.  It was fun historical day pretending we were pioneers and honoring the Atkin family. For more details see https://dup-atkinville.blogspot.com/2022/05/dup-atkinville-monument-dedication.html
