Field Trip-Part I

On the way to Kanab, my friend Marilyn and I stopped at Pipe Springs National Monument and took a tour. It's an historical site where a spring runs through the canyon. Native Americans used the area, later the Mormons build a small fort/house and had a cattle ranch there. It was fun to look through the museum and buildings. Model of early Native American dwelling ruins in the area.

The Paiute Indians lived in wickiups made of trees and weeds.
