Lovely poem and a reminder for me of the years spent in desert country and seeing the tumbleweeds rolling down and across roads everywhere. Great photo!
Did I ever tell you about the enterprising lady that sold tumbleweeds on the internet. I guess there are some "dudes" back east who want a little western flavor in their homes. She sells them at prices starting at 24.00 and going up to close to the $100.00 mark. Is that crazy or what? I can't even guess how many tumbleweeds Wayne and I have burned in our married life.
Anyway... The important thing here is that I let you know that's absolutely one of my very favorite of your poems. Beautifully done, Lin!

ReplyDeleteWe went for a drive yesterday and found an area where the wind was really whipping. Those tumbleweeds can move!
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely poem Lin. I have never seen a tumbleweed in person.

Your wonderful poem reminds me of the tumbleweeds I saw in New Mexico. I must be somewhat of a dudette because I was so mesmerized by them.
