Blogging Anniversary!

I published my first blog on 11/6/07 at 8:22 pm. It had no photos cause I didn't know how to upload photos and said: "So why do I need a BLOG? To make an impression on the world and leave some thoughts and ideas spinning in the universe, to have a place to publish my poems and ramblings. Will give it a try...." Since then I've made 362 posts, that's almost one a day. I've taught three community education classes on blogging, and had one article published on blogging for which I got paid $75. It's been a fun year.

It's been a fun year, making new friends in the Internet world, and strengthening relationships with family and friends. Thanks for reading and commenting on my blog. It's been fun to encourage others to blog. Today my husband said at breakfast that he wants to start an archery webpage. At which point, I suggested a blog instead as it is so much easier than a full blown webpage. So we may soon be known as the "blogging couple." On to the future!

  1. Happy Anniversary! I just started blogging the first of July of this year. I was in kind of a down period, adjusting to living with my son -- nothing negative, just different and not anything I had ever considered. Then a friend of mine in Portland suggested I give blogging a try because she knew I loved to write and it's been the greatest fun ever! Then I got into photography and it's been great fun to combine the two! So, I can celebrate with you! What fun to meet so many new people, share so many things in common!

  3. You've accomplished a great deal this past year, my friend.

Your writing skills have grown so very much. I've seen your confidence in your skills grow even more.

You've brought others into the world of blogging along with you... reluctant writers, like me.
And you've helped us to develop our writing skills as well.

You've been a catalyst for so many of us meeting new cyber pals who have stretched our minds and opened our views to new thoughts, new ideas and perspectives.

It's been a great ride, Lin. Thanks for inviting me along.
