SUMMER FRUITS

One of the rewards of a hot summer is FRESH FRUIT. We've been enjoying watermelon, peaches, cherries, plums, raspberries, blueberries and apricots. A new discovery for me that makes a great healthy breakfast is STEEL CUT OATS. Never heard of it before until my daughter in law bought some cooked and frozen at Costco. Well, I found it uncooked at my local grocery store and wanted to try it BUT it take 30 minuets to cook. Who has 30 minutes to cook MUSH? I usually do instant ROLLED OATS but they don't taste the same. So now I cook steel cut oaks once a week and add fresh fruit plus coconut, sliced almonds and milk. DELICIOUS. Try it, you'll LOVE IT!
