Well I find myself once again volunteering to be newsletter editor for Heritage Writer's Guild. There's something fun about putting each issue together. After a falling out in our leadership among certain old and new members, we are regrouping and starting over with new enthusiasm. My goal in returning as newsletter editor is to built unity and be positive. It's amazing what a lot of criticism and negativity can do in an organization or a family. Hurt feelings and not forgiving one another can lead to ruptures.
Our past president resigned under a vicious onslaught of complaints sent through emails about her new ideas and direction. We now have a new president trying to round up the troops. "Forward and onward" is our motto. (If you're going to try to make holes in the boat, it's better to jump overboard before it sinks with you.) Note the bookmark I designed to tell others about our group. Only one more day to leave a comment on my bloganniversary post to get in a drawing for a free book.
