Fun Field Trip...

Our Daughters of Utah Pioneers took a fun field trip a week or so ago to a local pioneer home and it was so fun to step back in time.

Covington pioneer home in nearby Washington, Utah

Nicely maintained inside and out with a guide in costume.

Ten of our more than 50 members were able to attend.

Fun restored living room give an idea of life in those days

Our guide knew her history and shared it with us.

Later bathroom addition love that tub!

We all listened intently to the guide's true stories of those days.

Old fashion bed in small bedrooms were the norm

Fireplaces were the only way of heating the house in those days

Kitchen has been modernized with modern appliances.

Life story of Robert Gardener Utah pioneer

Cotton was grown, spung into yarn then made into clothes

Another fireplace to keep downstairs warm.

Kitchen cupboard had room for everything.

So important to preserve the past and honor the pioneers.
