It's July-hot and muggy as the temps heat up.
Fluffy monsoon clouds gather every afternoon, then
torrents of welcome rain fall upon the thirsty desert soil.
Relief comes as single drops are multiplied by millions,
driven downward flooding gullies and puddling on streets.
I, too, need that sudden cooling when my life spirals out of control.
Change sometimes slows down frantic progress and reveals
hidden beauties taken for granted. Just breathing in and out,
no health issues for the moment, my thankful prayers ascend.
