We are all different

Caryn and I laughed about the different sizes of eggs she gets from her free roaming chickens. I think it applies also to how different we each are from one another-in looks, personalities, talents, etc. Yet we share many qualities-desire to nurture, listen and respond to one another.

Many times we wonder why men aren't like us but they aren't. There was an excellent article on oprah.com the other day about how men don't like to talk about problems but want to do something about them. A suggestion that we be quiet and do something with them rather than try to talk about our feelings. We women friends can talk together. I found this very helpful as my hubby is very quiet but available. If one approach doesn't work, try another.

  2. It is true. Men don't like to talk about problems, they like to solve them. That's one reason women complain that men don't listen to them; men have learned that we don't want to hear their solutions.

It's easier to get along together when we understand the differences. That's why we women like to have a girlfriend or two.

  3. It's using different parts of the brain. Men tend to use one side and women use both. Just a difference in biology..
