"We have met the enemy...and it is us." Pogo
Somehow this thought keeps going through my head. So, I had to do some research to find the source of it. Been thinking about EXPECTATIONS and ASSUMPTIONS both of which can get you in big trouble with others and yourself as you have your experiences here on earth. You assume a certain outcome in relationships and projects, but what you expect may not happen. EXPECTATIONS are a belief or strong hope that a particular event will take place, and assumptions are a tendency to expect too much, something that is believed to be true without proof. When life offers up its' little surprises you can be disappointed and want to point a finger of blame at others or circumstances, but it's really US that are the ENEMY as Pogo so wisely said. We are the only one we can change!
