Poetry in ACTION

Here we are at our first performance as a whole group
Nine poets reading their own compositions in a program
for Tuachan's Saturday's Market. It went well and we had
fifteen in our audience, mostly family, cheering us on.

Meet the members of our group l-r: Shirley, Leah, Marilyn, Barbara,
me, Caryn, Mary, Joan and Wilma-a fun group of talented women.

Our program is available on podcast at DixieToday.com,
check us out. The first of hopefully many free concerts we'll give
in different locations as the opportunities present themselves.
What an experience, most of us are newcomers at performing.

Barbara gave a humorous poem about mice and swatting.

Joan shows a dramatic flair.

Shirley has a quiet poetic lyrical nature.

Caryn is a great performer and delivers her lines well.

I'm the only tall one in the group-the mikes were too low for me.

Marilyn is our award winning poet.

Mary was our stage manager and decorator-thanks!

Leah has a quiet voice and writes sensitive poems.

Wilma writes the funniest poems ever.
