Sunday Afternoon Drive

We heard about all the waterfalls at the nearby Gunlock Reservoir because of all the recent rain and snow in the mountains. This reservoir is filled and overflowing on the spillway making waterfalls on the rocks going down to the riverbed. Quite spectacular and many going to visit it before it's over with.

Lots of families out hiking on a beautiful day

Visit with Family

Dan and Tina with their family stopped by for the weekend on their way to Mexico flying out of Las Vegas to Cozuma, Mexico for a spring break. We enjoyed a quiet sabbath going to church then napping and being together.

The twins l-r: Emilee and Heather sure look alike.
We enjoyed playing a new game Rummikub with Emilee above and Heather
The boys: Dan the dad, Nathan with eyes closed and James making a face!
The parents: Tina and Dan
James the live wire is exhausted as Grandma looks on while indexing.
It was warm outside so we had family scripture study there.
Dan and Emilee make sandwiches to take on the trip to Las Vegas airport

Relief Society's 177th Birthday

Familysearch.org has a new ap that shows you if you have Mormon pioneers- if any of your ancestors were members of the original Relief Society organized in Nauvoo, Illinois in 1842. I have three: Sarah McGuickin Malin and Catherine Essick on my Vernon side, and Adah Winchell Clements on my Johnson line. How fun! Check it out if you are interested https://www.familysearch.org/campaign/reliefsociety We had a special party today and luncheon to celebrate and honor our pioneers Relief Society founders.
