Off to see the BABY

We leave today after church to meet Lorien. Of course she is the cutest grand baby around! More photos later when we get back or check my son's blog.

When its been awhile since you have been published even though you are submitting material, it's encouraging when you have an article appear somewhere and receive payment for your labors. Mind you I'll never get rich at $75 for 800 words but it's helpful to my self esteem to know that someone values my work with words. So I've had an article "Turn the Hearts of the Children" published in the Jan 2010 issue of Desert Saints Magazine. Check it out, I talk about the importance of sharing with your children and grand children your experiences with your parents and grandparents therefore turning their hearts to their ancestors.

Snared by Negative Forces

Trapped by the slimy tentacles
Forces pull me down to depths
Where I can not cry out for help
Silently I watch the destruction
Occurring inside, known only to
The careful sensitive observer

A few tears escape my eyes
They are washed away unseen
As I struggle to gain control
I gasp, there must be a way out
Pushing towards the surface
I can breathe again normally

What did I escape from

Will it return again to find me
How do I strengthen my defenses

I will own the experience, express

It in poetry to try to help others

I am not alone, this is universal
