More Hugs Needed

More hugs are needed in the world.
genuine comforting squeezes that
say: I care about you and I'm here
to listen, to try to understand and
comfort you.
Don't solve my problem,
just hug me, and I'll resolve my cares
.

Hugs are so great between loved ones
or close friends. Nothing compares.
So give a hug today to those you know
that could use one. I love to say to my
hubby: I need a hug! It always seems
that he needs one too at the same time.

Blogging Advice

Just discovered quite by accident that all the photos I've uploaded to this blog are stored in Picasa owned by Google. Never knew that before. I have more than 1000 photos and clipart there that are available for anyone to download. That's both good and bad. I can go into that website and organize my photos into folders or delete them, but I'm a little bit shocked that I didn't know they were being stored there. Much to learn about blogging even though I've taught several classes on it already and blogged for almost 2 years. It's a learning discovery process-if something doesn't work, then you struggle to find out why or ask another blogger.

Thanks to my mentor Susi Q my friend who has helped me and encouraged me to get started blogging. Check out her blog sometime-she's recuperating from two falls that broke her ankle and wrist so that's slowed her down some. Just got a loyal friend and reader award from a new blogging friend Janie B-check out her blog. I'd like to pass this award on to five of my many loyal readers: Kay, Cheryl, Brenda, Deborah and Sandy. Thanks for your comments-you are appreciated, also Michelle and Kavita-check out their blogs. I love reading and commenting on all your blogs. It's fun to meet new people and make friends from around the world.

Alicia's Birthday

I 'm the mother of 4 sons, but also have 3 dg-in-laws and 4 stepdaughters (Photo l-r Alicia, Sarah, Katherine, hubby Allen, Deborah and myself.) Today is one of my stepdaughter's birthday-ALICIA. We didn't meet until I married her dad back in 1993. At that time, she was a student at BYU. Her newly divorced dad was up from NM visiting her at college when he decided to go to a SINGLES DANCE where we first got acquainted.

Alicia went on an LDS Mission to Minnesota where she met her husband to be Thor (photo on right) who was also serving a mission there for our church. They now live in California. She's a stay at home mom (see photo below of kids: l-r Anya, Alexis, Abigail, and Kalib.) Alicia is going back to college to finish her degree. Good for you ALICA. Have a happy HAPPY birthday!
