Crepe Myrtle drinks in needed moisture from the morning rain.

Wet pompas grass sticks together. 

Welcome moisture for land, plants and trees.

Morning refreshments come as welcome rain appears.

Unsettled skies make for beautiful sunrises.

End of Summer PICNICS

It's hard to realize that summer is soon ending when it's still 90+ degrees around here. We had our annual church picnic in the nearby Pine Valley mountains about 45 minutes north of St. George.
Our LDS branch is composed of all retired people ages 55-90+, a friendly bunch of neighbors.

Enjoying the shade and each other's company

We had a potluck with BBQ chicken and fresh corn!

Those are pine trees and grass, deer abound in this area.

September-BACK TO SCHOOL

I miss not buying NEW back to school clothes but

I love being able to take any class of interest.

I'm retired––so my options are LIMITLESS..

besides my art classes, I'll study photoshop

in a COMMUNITY EDUCATION workshop.

Then, I'll also TEACH which is where I learn most.

Focusing now on HEALING WORDS

how exploring poetry and creative writing

can relieve stress and help RECOVER from losses.

We all have disappointments in our lives.

Loved ones who stray away, won't return or respond

to your gestures of REACHING out. Those who

you can't touch, despite great efforts and love.

Life is a CHALLENGE for all of us, but HOPE is

possible as you connect with your Higher Power.
