After a very long drive of 700 miles today because we wanted to be home for July 4th, we saw this lovely sunset as we pulled into our city. Now to sleep in our very own bed and just relax at home for the holiday. More photos from our trip later in a few days.

Beauty Everywhere
Great forests, high and lofty mountaintops
covered with glaciers, expansive lakes,
abundant wildlife, turquoise wild rivers,
we have seen it all on our vacation.

It's been a good break from old routines,
a time to commune with God’s creations.
Hiking, picniking, traveling in new areas
it's summertime in British Columbia.

Canada, a land of such natural beauty,
filled with diverse peoples and many tourists
grouped in families of different kinds.
Some alone following their own path.

Each on a journey to find meaning and
purpose. Individuals coming together,
working, playing, and vacationing.
Recreating and interacting as they travel.

Visiting Lake Louise/Banff
It's gorgeous up here, it's also Canada Day today-like our fourth of July. I keep forgetting I'm in another country until we try to buy something with our American money. Finally broke down and found an ATM to get some Canadian money-it feels like play money. Most things gas, food and lodging we can charge with our credit card and our bank at home will make take care of the conversion from Canadian to US dollars. We couldn't even get close to Lake Louise today it was too crowded but saw lots of other gorgeous sights on the way there. Glaciers on the tops of most mountains.
