Monday drive in the desert again...

Out for a drive near Gunlock, Utah...following a country dirt road.
Horses graze on new grasses enjoying our springtime weather.
I love the burst of color as trees bud out and get ready to develop fruit.
That's a real extinct volcano cone, there are many in this area.
Pine Valley mountains nearby captures snow to provide water for us.
A cedar tree that died long ago adds interest to the landscape.
Sagebrush dots the landscape and a few tumble weeds wannabes.
Lone cedar tree stands as sentinel to the passing of the seasons.
Volcanic lava outcropping are everywhere to be seen in this area.
Storage reservoir for irrigation of crops below in Gunlock.
These ducks are happy swimming in the many available reservoirs.
Amazing the variety of pinks and reds in our local cliffs and mountains.
Love the snow on the desert mountains contrasted with the red rocks.
Heading home on the highway after a lovely afternoon of diversion.
