Joining a local camera club has improved by awareness
as I look more carefully at my daily life even in the kitchen.
These shadows from my venetian blinds are intriguing,
giving a different perspective and mood to the familiar.
Life is changed somehow into something different,
it reminds me of facades that people put on
to impress others temporally until reality returns.
Then it's time to react or take action to new perspectives.
Today would have been my mom's 91st birthday...
Neat shots..... I love how simple things take on new meaning just because we 'open' our eyes to see.
ReplyDeleteWishing you happy thoughts as you remember your mom!

ReplyDeleteI remember the day I saw our house from the far corner of our neighbor's backyard. An entirely different perspective; almost an entirely different-looking house. Interesting, though.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss, Lin. Everyone has told me how very difficult it is to lose your mother. It does scare me.
ReplyDeleteGetting behind a camera is a wonderful way to be in and to stand outside and oserve the moment at the same time.
ReplyDeleteGod bless your mom. She is watching you from the other side, and I'm sure quite proud of you, Lin!
