On to CHRISTMAS, celebrating the Holy-days

Our Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (also known as the Mormons) put together a wonderful display of nativity sets from all countries and open it to our community along with a musical program. Here's some photos of some of the wonderful displays focus on the true meaning of the season.

Each month on the last Tuesday our group of Relief Society sisters from my church go to lunch. It's a fun time to get to know each other better and enjoy exploring loyal restaurants in St. George Utah area.

Quiet TURKEY DAY

With Daniel and family in Mexico for a service project, this was our first Thanksgiving Day home alone. We didn't feel like fighting all the traffic to go visit our families which are spread out all over from Utah to Arizona to California to New Mexico to Washington and in Texas. Instead of cooking a big meal for just us, we decided to try eating out which is so popular with many retired folks. We went to Hash House a new restaurant in town. The food was plentiful, but not as good as homemade. Just look at the size of the plates or rather platters. We couldn't eat it all, so we took some home for leftovers.

Hurrah for TWIN GRAND DAUGHTERS

Had a quick visit from the Hatches-son Daniel, his wife Tina, two sons James and Nathan plus his friend Kalib and the twins. On their way to Mexico for a service project with some other Utah Valley families, they usually go at Christmas time but this year, it's THANKSGIVING. I was busy cooking breakfast for 9 so didn't get a photo of the table full of eaters including 3 teenage or almost boys. They eat a lot. Did enjoy hugs from all the grand kids and especially talking with the twins.

Identical twins: l-r Emilee and Heather both students at UVU
Both want to teacher Heather (l) elementary school and Emilee-HS English
Off they go loaded for a service project in Mexico.

Enjoying ZION NATIONAL PARK

Took a day trip through Zion Park. We only live an hour away and get up there several times a year to enjoy nature's beauty and the change of seasons.
