Transformation

It was time to bite the bullet and pay to get our old carpet, which was heavily trafficked and stained replaced...
After 18 years of wear and tear, the carpet stains were set forever
Time to redo, which means moving the furniture off and tearing up the old.
The old carpet and pad were removed, then the cement swept before the new
carpet pad went down. This also gave me space to clean some windows/blinds.
Chaos in the dining room and office where all the stuff removed went.
We now have a gold/beige carpet with no stains on it, looks great!
The finished product...home sweet home returns.

Interestingly we have no carpet in the new house at all, it's just tile and wood. We use area rugs for accent and color. This is our second home with no carpet. Yours looks lovely, and you must be so happy to have the new, clean one.

Beautiful! This reminds me that I MUST shampoo our living room rug. Shoot.

i love new carpets but our house is so large that affording it is not a quickly decided option. Personally, I think all wood would be nicer...And that may happen. But congrats on yours. Nice to have a small area as well as tile!
