I love to teach and also to learn as a student. So, this year I'm taking a class at AHA-Artful Healing Academy where I teach also based on a book new to me. How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci: Seven Steps to Genius Every Day by Michael Gelb.
Through creative journaling and art experiences in a weekly workshop, we'll be exploring the seven steps:
1. Curiosity
2. Developing knowledge through experience
3. Sensual refinement
4. Willingness to embrace ambiguity and paradox
5. Whole brain thinking
6. Physical poise and fitness
7. Understanding the connectedness of all life.
I'll be sharing what I learn with you...what book/s are you reading now and why?
I've used this book in teaching as well, Lin. There are some great concepts for discussion, so look forward to what you will be posting.
ReplyDeleteNo self help books for me. I read books only for pleasure.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds very interesting and enlightening.
ReplyDeleteI have always been able to do mirror writing...didn't he do that? I can write upside down, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to Thursday night's class. Yesterday's SoulCollage class at AHA was fun and insightful. It got my creative juices flowing again!
