Victory or Defeat?

I'm proud to be an American where we can vote our preferences rather than riot or have dictators force their will on us. God Bless the USA and the newly elected choice of the majority of our citizens. It was a close race and now there are wounds to heal. I like that Obama said he plans to sit down with Romney and discuss how they can help America go forward. Democracy works! It's time to go forward and work TOGETHER for the future good of all Americans.

  2. I told the girls that it was important to recognize that we have the best government in the world. There wouldn't be a armed uprising or mass protest that we see in many elections around the world.

The challenge to President Obama is to take this opportunity and reach out to the opposition and get something done. He doesn't have anyone to pass the blame onto anymore (the previous administration is now his own) - it is up to him to lead. It is also up to the opposition to work with the president.

  3. It will be difficult to overcome all of the animosity that has built up over the last four, and especially the last two years. The President will try. He has tried. He is a practical man, and if he can't get bi-partisan support, he will find ways to get things done anyway.
