A New Beginning

Well, after 10 years of trying to decide on a retirement project
my sweet hubby finally did, and just this week received his kit
of cut out pieces to assemble into a wooden row, sailboat to
use for fishing and other adventures in the great outdoors.

It's coming, the kit all cut out to be assembled.

Only weighs 750 pounds, made of marine plywood.

A late Christmas present?

Just punch out the pieces, sand and assemble.

It will take awhile to assemble, then has to be painted, etc.

Our garage is now a boat workshop, and our cars parked outside.

It will be beautiful when finished, probably painted white.
Designed in France, kit cut out in Portland, Maine.

  2. what a great idea...it reminds me of the movie "On Golden Pond"...where Katherine Hepburn & Henry Fonda loved their retiremwnt log cabin and their much loving moments on their sailboat near the river by their cabin...Have lots of fun you two.

  4. This looks like a really fun project! Then you're going to have to find a lake to fish in.
