What If...

WHAT IF...

What if you got everything you desired?
Would you be a spoiled brat?
No problems to solve, would you get bored?
Maybe opposition is a good idea in life.

Constant obstacles to overcome
makes the journey more interesting;
it may seem a bit unfair at times
when we look at others lives.

Not knowing their situation
would we dispense more conflict?
Could we control such things,
are we wise enough?

Should favorite children have it easier?
Does God have special ones He favors?
If so, that’s unfair-I refuse to play anymore.
I’m dropping out of life right now. So there!

  1. Lin,
I am not looking for an easy life--I am so grateful for so much but I just want that joy back--where holidays don't hurt so much and where you can wake up excited to start the day--I don't need things--had them--they don't make life--it's being surrounded by people you love and who love you--that's what is lacking in my life. That's my Christmas wish that I can find purpose and get excited about life again. So glad your life is fulfilled with all those things and I know someday I will have that again.

  3. And therte's something wrong with being spoiled??? My sisters and my brother and I were all convinced that WE were the favorite child. My parents had a gift for making us all feel like we were the most importat thing they had to think about on any given day... but still managed to give us a sense of responsibility to doing all that we could for the good of the whole family. I was so blessed to be a part of the
Theobald clan!! The blessings continued after being invited into the Stott family. Yup! I'm feeling pretty darn lucky. Please...puhleeeeze, don't drop out of my life... okay? That line made me giggle! good stuff Lin!
