Spring Fever shopping

We went shopping today for some stepping stones to put in our yard to make a path leading from the driveway to the garbage can. Despite going to several stores, we didn't find what we wanted but we had a lovely time looking at all the spring flowers and inspecting trees to find one to replace our dying mimosa tree that has bores.

We were looking for round stones with pebbles in a gray color but no luck.

I got carried away with closeup shots of the pretty colors of spring flowers. It was 62 degrees today and spring is coming. Our little peach tree is starting to bloom and soon the grass with turn green. We always get an early spring and then a long summer, so bring it on. After a colder winter than usual I'm ready for some heat to warm up.

  1. Cool!! We got snow dumped on us yesterday, but the kids still rode bikes after we cleared the driveway! Take THAT winter! :)

  4. That's what I miss about spring on the mainland. We always got that burst of energy in spring to buy flowers or things for the yard and garden. Here in Hawaii... same old, same old.
