Poetry Program

Our long awaited Relief Society Birthday celebration entitled Reflections of the Past and Present is over. It was a lot of work but turned out beautifully. I was so proud of all the poets who read so well their own creations. We represented the present as we looked through a mirror at the pioneer women reading journal entries and histories of real people. It was amazing all they sacrificed to come to Utah for religious freedom. It's quite a heritage. After our program complete with musical numbers, we had a lovely brunch and visited.

Now on to NEW projects with my Writers WORDshop. First of all, I am changing our name to POETRY in ACTION and with my son expertise, we have a new logo to use in our publicity. We will be going into the local schools and presenting a short lesson on poetry to encourage them to participate in the YOUTH POETRY CELEBRATION and CONTEST. Then we will be planning an INTRO to POETRY reading for Tuacahn's outdoor pre-show amphitheatre coming up Apr. 2nd. It will be a busy month and spring is busting out all over here-lots of BLOOMS!
