Homemade Pizza

I'm up for any short cuts I can find when it comes to cooking. So here's a quick version of PIZZA-my hubby's favorite dish. In the good old days when my last son Jeff was still at home and hubby was working, I would make homemade dough for my pizza, but today I don't do that anymore. I discovered Walmart's pre-baked pizza rounds-just put them on a tray, add some bottled spaghetti sauce, some grated mozzarella cheese, pepperoni (they even have turkey ones with less grease and less taste), canned sliced olives, freshly diced green peppers and little pieces of ham lunch meat if available.

Put it in the oven at 450 degrees for 7-8 minutes and INSTANT PIZZA lunch or dinner. Of course a green salad would help add more veggies, and a diet Dr. Pepper to wash it down. Yum!

Time for LUNCH! What are you having today?

  1. Looks delicious, Lin. We like pizza, too, and I seldom make my own pizza crust any more. Do you remember the days of the first pizza, Chef Boy Ardee in a box? I used to make those a lot as a teenager. Maybe they're still available, I don't know.

  2. Looks good. I need to look into that. We like pizza. The kind you buy at pizza places are deadly so this might be a good alternative.

  3. This looks delish! I think I'm hungry. I used to make those Chef Boy Ardee pizzas in a box, too, Jean. They are still available, but I haven't made one in years. Lin, yours looks much easier.

  5. I've been experimenting with different kinds of pizza crust but haven't tried this kind yet. It looks delish! My children used to love Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee pizzas on Sunday nights and we still make them on occasion.

  6. I used to make homemade pizza and pizza dough, but I haven't in many years. When we eat pizza now, we go out to get it, which isn't very often.
