Unfinished Projects

Lurking in the background somewhere
but not pressing enough on my consciousness,
lies myriads of unfinished projects
started in early times with enthusiasm
now gathering dust or hidden under piles
just like these strawberries I discovered.

It's time to dig them out or gather them
and use or complete them.

Let's see, first I'll make a list:

Number one-me, medications,
weight loss, exercise plan, etc.
Well, that was enough to make me need
to take a LOOONG nap until my
enthusiasm returns, if it ever does.

LOL! Think I'll just go make some strawberry shortcake.
That's simpler than working on me!

  1. You discovered a wonderful treasure there! The berries are a great metaphor for those discoveries we make when we work on ourselves, consciously or unconsciously.

  5. Atta' girl! That's the spirit. Make hay while the sun shines and make shortcake when the berries are ripe!

BTW, those berry plants can just be divided and spread out to fill the whole strip. They make a wonderful ground cover that is easy to take care of and you get berries too!

  6. Beautiful bowl of berries. Great ideas on taking care of yourself, too. That's been my project of late. Today I pulled out some old shirts that had gotten too small and they fit again. Yay! Love your picture with the great hat! Enjoy your summer!
