Here we are

In Ft. Worth, Texas vacationing. A very long drive from home 21 hrs. and two days later here we are. Today my hubby Allen got to meet an old high school buddy Wally-they haven't seen each other since graduation 48 years ago as each went on his way getting an education, marrying and starting a family. Now they are grandfathers retired but still love to reminisce about their school days together. It was fun to listen and watch them interact.

We had a few hours this morning in the National Archives to do some genealogy research on Allen's Native American great grandmother. Weren't able to find any new info on her but are going to her hometown nearby Corsicanna tomorrow and see what we can find. We have a new license plate frame that says "Genealogists collect dead relatives."

  2. Oh Lin, we must talk. Fort Worth, Texas is our home. We have a daughter that still lives there. I lived 62 years of my life in and around Fort Worth. What a small world.
