Lobster-napped

I don’t know who is to blame.
But there’s a lot of lobsters
at the restaurant in a tank,
and I’d like some answers.

Claws bound, they can’t wiggle.
But they are alive, until it’s time
for their boiling water bath.
Then hungry customers will dine.

  1. Those lobsters are certainly from Maine. The first time I ever dropped live lobsters into boiling water, I was at home alone, yet I screamed each time I dropped one into the pot.

  4. We do the same thing to crabs and clams. So are they marine life of sea food?

  5. I've never been able to drop lobsters into the pot to cook, thats my husband's job. So I feel less guilty!

  6. It upsets me to see what you saw. At the supermarket, I have to avoid getting close to the tank.
