I'm BACK

Home safely again after 13 straight hours of driving by my hubby yesterday while I navigated, slept, wrote and talked to my favorite driver. We didn't get to our home till 10 pm last night, and drove the last 50 miles at 40 mph watching for any wandering deer in the dark-- that's the kind of safe driver my husband is and I greatly appreciate him. So now I have lots of photos to upload and sort from our vacation in Seattle and the Oregon coast, five pounds to loose from eating too well and not exercising enough, but I can do it.

Found out I got another article published in Desert Saints Magazine entitled "A Priesthood Roadmap: Patriarchal Blessings." So that keeps me happy as a writer. Nothing like no paid articles for two months and then two in a row to keep you going with writing and submitting articles. HURRAH! On to SEPTEMBER, bye to AUGUST and new lessons learned, experiences gained and new understandings formed. More on that later. Time to unpack.

  1. Welcome back, but 13 hours of driving? I thought only crazy youngsters did that kind of thing. I'm glad you arrived safely.

  2. There are so many beautiful areas in Washington and Oregon – I am sure you’ll have many pretty pictures. We went there a few years ago before I had a digital camera. I have some good shots but they were developed as prints. I’ll try to scan them sometimes. I don’t think I would do 13 hours of driving, but if you can – why not. When we drove from Atlanta to Fort Lauderdale we had to stop halfway. It looks like the end of summer. My fig tree is covered with fruit so I have to make jam today.

  3. The first time we drove to Colorado to see Jill we drove from Seattle to Salt Lake City, about 13 hours, and then another 10 the next day. At the end of our week we turned around and repeated the drive, taking a northern route. Now we fly.
Welcome home and I'm glad you had a good trip. Look forward to seeing your photos of my little corner of the world.
