Seasons change, sunsets follow sunrises,
part of the comfortable pattern of our lives.
Meaning and purpose unfold as years pass,
looking back we can understand even trials
of faith, health, and self confidence.
Times of laughing, crying, wonder, and fear
are all there to learn from. Gifts from above.
Life is a giant schoolroom filled with lessons
some easily learned and appreciated, others
fought and resisted, then accepted and endured.
Life continues, day after day until the final one
not scheduled, but expected when we will depart.
Suddenly relieved of earthly cares and reunited
with loved ones long departed, we will look back
with fondness, cherishing each earthly experience.

ReplyDeletepatterns..... life has its times and seasons....... if we learn that we can be more fluid and ride them, like waves, we'll enjoy the ride and then be on the lookout for the next wave coming with the next adventure.
