Wildlife and RAIN!

My hubby's hobby is archery using a recurve bow. He has made a private range down by the Virgin River near our home, and has many visitors watching him-notably lately young bunnies. They are so used to seeing him there that they will come right up and watch his shooting.

You can see the path my husband makes walking up to the target to get his arrows and back again to shoot. He only shoots at targets and not wildlife. Other visitors have included quail, road runners, doves, lizards, and a few dogs. He has to shoot very early in the morning before it heats up in our desert place where temperatures lately have been up to 109 degrees in the sun.

It's raining, first time in a month or so...

  4. The photo of the little bunny made me smile-brightened up my gray, drizzly day (again!). Wow, temps that high are unheard of here. I imagine the rain feels heavenly! Interesting hobby your husband has, I think it would be fun to try.

  5. Cute little bunnies, I wouldn'g be able to shoot them either. These are nice pics, Lin. 109 degrees sounds the way it has felt here the past couple of weeks.

  6. I am glad you have rain. That last shot is really lovely.

I am delighted the rabbits watch your husband when he is enjoying himself. Delightful interaction.

  8. Lin, Thanks for sharing your bunny photo. Too coincidental, because just a few minutes ago, as I came home late this evening from a friends, I happened to spot two jack rabbits in our yard. We've got clover flowers sticking out amongst the greenery, so I'm sure that's what they were munching on.

  10. I love the big ears on your rabbits unlike the floppy ears on the eastern rabbits...You are just getting rain after a month? Wow..and we have only had 8 days that got out of the 70's this summer and you have it over 100....Michelle
