Business Cards

Who--me need a business card? Sure, why not! I made some for us when we moved two times ago as it was easier to give to family and friends than writing down our new phone number, address and email address for each person.

Now that I publish and teach so many classes, I'm always wanting others to check out my family history webpage or my blog-you are there! It's much easier to have my addresses on my card. As I'm considering publishing my first book for selling, and not just giving away for costs, it's time to get serious about having a business card-just for me and not for hubby and me. He can make his own for his archery hobby. So here it is with some clipart I like. What goes on the card-my name, title-I decided on Writer, Teacher & Genealogist as that pretty much describes my interests right now. Another card just for my family could say Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Relative or for friends could say Encourager, Listener, Nurturer and Friend

What would your card say?

  2. I bought a package of business cards at Staples last fall to design and print them on my computer, for my husband's antique auto hobby. They were so much fun to make that I then made a few for myself. For my husband's, I was able to put a photo he'd taken onto his cards; for myself, I used the logo for the international organization I belong to and serve as state president of.

  5. I made business cards when I was working as a Reading Specialist/Literacy Coach. It occured to me that if business people were handing out cards, I could to. There is no more important business than teaching.

I don't need them now. My business is now just my own.

  10. When my children were in elementary school I made individual cards for them to pass out at school. They had their name, address, phone number, my name, and a short blip about them on them. They loved fiving them to their friends, and their moms loved having our information so handy...

I also made some for me. Just so that I wouldn't have to search for a pen when someone needed my number. I don't think they have to be "Business Cards". At the turn of the century people used "calling cards". I love that idea!
