Rebirth

Spring lightens our spirits
gives promises of warmth
after the long cold months
celebrates life's renewing
cycles and growing times

Time to clean out old gardens
gather dried leaves left behind
clear out the cobwebs of
body and soil to make room
for the new green reachings

How comforting is the pattern
of renewal, rebirth and new life
anticipation mounts as events
build, He will be remembered
again as Easter approaches...

  2. My garden overhaul keeps getting bumped for other more pressing repairs, etc. This year it's the patio (2 rotten boards, refinishing) that's elbowing its way to the front of the queue.

  5. Lovely post! I've missed you, was afraid I might have said something offensive as I haven't seen you on my blog in a long time. I've been blogging everyday, don't know how not to anymore! Thanks for dropping by again!

  6. Yippie! Spring is in the early stages of "sprunging". I couldn't be more pleased. We have crocus and mini Iris's growing. The tulips and daffodils are peeking out... I can't wait for the raspberry starts to show up.

You're so right... it's not just the landscape that seems new. It's my very soul that seems to be replenished and refreshed.

All the burgeoning flowers than need to have the crusts of leaves raked from them, and the shed that's waiting to be swept clean and organized for yard work, seem like opportunities to play in the sunshine.
